Fair price, quick competent support,
After seeing nothing similar on the market, at least at this price point, I had to check it out. I emailed Loftek because this camera was not on their site. They responded the same day and explained the camera is a new product yet to be listed. I sent a few more emails with various questions and must admit I was intrigued with the fast replies. Customer service may exist here, halfway across the planet!
Three day shipping for nine bucks, not bad. Opened the box and the software, a mini CD was broken in half, bad news or so I thought. I emailed tech support and again they replied the same day with the files needed attached to the email.
I’m just doing wireless video, it took me a couple of hours to sort it all out. I really like it so far, just remember it is a $155 camera so there are limitations. I would not use the wall cube outdoors, get an outdoor transformer. Also the various connections to the camera are not waterproof and would require modification. But hey, all in all it works, not bad for a buck and a half.

|This camera ROCKS right out of the box!,
This camera is everything it boasts and more. This thing is of excellent/rugged quality in a surprisingly small package. The optical zoom works flawlessly and stays in consistant focus. I have not had one single issue with it so I don’t know what the tech support is like. If you know what you’re doing with setting up an IP camera then you will absolutely love this thing. Even at night, the picture is beautiful with it’s low .5 lux rating. You must understand that unless the IR is mounted externally you couldn’t have night vision because of the reflection inside the dome. If you have even the slightest amount of area lighting, you will have absolutely no problem viewing with this camera. One feature that I really like, that is not advertised, is the fact that there are no flashing lights on the camera which might draw attention to it’s existance. I loved this thing so much that I bought a couple more and have had the same results with them. I plan on adding a couple more of them in the very near future. I must say that I was so impressed with this purchase that it prompted me to write my first review of the many, many Amazon purchases that I have made over the years.

|Good for the money,
This camera is substantially better than the foscam F18918W (indoor) camera. The movement is smooth and fast. Colors are very good. Zoom function works as expected and the zoom level is stored with the pre-set position!
The only significant drawback I have found is that it has poor low light performance. I was expecting this at night, but the camera looses picture at even dusk/dawn. The IR cameras I have do MUCH better in low light, even with the IR turned off. The IR cameras have poor color even in bright light though. Perhaps this is the tradeoff.
I can’t comment on the software. The disk provided did not work. As I am using Blue Iris software, this wasn’t a big issue for me.
